Chief Deputy Jeff Hall
Chief Jeff Hall began his career in law enforcement in 1994 with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Hall was able to work in a variety of divisions ranging from Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Narcotics, and more. In 1999, Chief Hall left the Pickens Sheriff’s Office to pursue opportunities with the Canton Police Department. While working for the Canton Police Department, Chief Hall worked through the ranks to the posision of lieutenant. In this time, he worked in Patrol Division, Traffic Division, Criminal Investigations and Emergency Management.
In 2012, Chief Hall joined the Pickens Sheriff’s Office. Chief Hall is certified as a Manager with the Peace Officer standards and Training Council, possesses an associates degree form Chattahoochee Technical College and holds a wide variety of other certificates that he has earned during his law enforcement career.
Captain Frank Reynolds
Captain Frank Reynolds has been in law enforcement for 20 years and currently serves as a Captain for the Pickens Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Reynolds began his law enforcement career in 1994 with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office. There, he attained the rank of Sergeant and was the West Precinct’s Evening Watch Commander. He spent eight years on their SWAT Team, with five of those years as the Sniper Team leader. He is Master SWAT certified and has attended military and federal law enforcement sniper courses. Captain Reynolds left the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office to gain International experience in Iraq working with the State Department’s High-Threat Protection, World-Wide Personal Protection Services from 2005-2008. There, he provided close personal protection for Heads of State, US diplomats, and high-ranking military leaders.
Captain Reynolds has a Bachelor’s degree from Reinhardt University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. He is a graduate of the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and Professional Management Program from Columbus State University. Captain Reynolds attended the 244th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and he is a graduate of the Georgia Chiefs of Police Executive Training Course. Captain Reynolds holds advanced law enforcement certifications in management and supervision and is a specialized instructor in both firearms and self-defense.
Captain Reynolds believes in setting a high standard for himself and those in his charge. He expects all deputies working within his command to be professional, ethical, and moral. He is a strong proponent of building a positive relationship with the community and law abiding citizens.
Captain Sherman McEntire
Captain Sherman McEntire is a Captain with the Pickens Sheriff’s Office where he serves as a member of the Senior Command Staff. He is a graduate of Reinhardt College and North Georgia College where he received degrees in Criminal Justice. Captain McEntire also holds a Senior Deputy Certification and Fire investigation Certification. In addition, he is a POST certified General Instructor and Emergency Medical Instructor. Captain McEntire is a 17 year veteran of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. He has worked assignments throughout the office including Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigaitons, Detention and Administration.
Captain McEntire resides in Hill City with his wife, Brandi, and 3 children. He serves actively in Cub Scout Pack 288 andcoaches both Recreational and Church League sports.
