All Training Classes are for Law Enforcement Officers only, unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
The Pickens Sheriff’s Office Education and Training Division offers a variety of dynamic and practical law enforcement training to meet the many challenges facing today’s law enforcement professionals. The PSO team is comprised of highly trained men and women dedicated to providing you and your agency with the best training in Georgia. Our new training complex is located in the foothills of North Georgia and offers the student with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The 25 yard pistol range is equipped with a modern computer operated Action Target System with 12 lanes and 24 targets. We have a 50 yard multi-purpose firing range and a 175 yard rifle range. Our classroom can accommodate up to twenty students. Currently, the PSO is host to several agencies including; Holly Springs PD, Cherokee Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Roswell-Alpharetta-Milton SWAT, Roswell PD, Canton PD, Dawson County SO, US Army, Jasper PD, DNR, Probation, and others.

The Pickens Sheriff’s Office Training Center is ran by Lt. Ray Grace (firstname.lastname@example.org). In addition to Capt. Reynolds, our office employs 8 other certified instructors that are qualified to teach courses ranging from basic classroom education to advanced firearms and driver training.
