Captain Padgett
Campus Law Enforcement Commander
Captain Padgett began his career with the Pickens Sheriff's Office in 1996 after graduating from Pickens High School. He started in the Adult Detention Center as a Jailer. Captain Padgett has completed the Columbus State University Project Management Program. He has over 2700 POST training hours, holding multiple POST certifications, including Jailer, School Resource Officer, Supervisory, Senior Deputy, Intermediate, and Advanced certificates. He is married and a father to three children.
Throughout his career, he has served in many leadership roles, including Uniform Patrol Commander and Court Service Division Commander. Captain Padgett currently oversees the Campus Law Enforcement Division and Co-Response Unit's day-to-day operations.
